Life as we Noah it: May 2013

We have ourselves a 2 year old! Noah turned two on friday May 24th. I woke him up at 6am and we headed over to Seaside to see a live taping of the Today show from the Jersey Shore. The band fun. was also playing. We got to see a lot of famous-ish people and even got our picture taken with a few of them. It was neat to see how it was all set up and how organized it was. That night we went to Surf Taco with the Mullers and Taynors. And Noah got to open a few presents from us, Aunt Nell, and Aunt Peggy that were sent in the mail!
We are having his birthday party this saturday so im sure there will be a whole post on that!

Two Year Old Tidbits:

We are 27lbs 14ounces
We are 35 3/4 inches tall (average 2 year old is 28lbs and 35 inches so we are right there)
Size 5 diapers
Pretty much 24 month everything but his 18 month shirts still fit.
Sleep - He has been staying up later, almost not falling asleep till 8 although we still put him to bed around 730. He has been waking up EARLY! Sometimes 530/6am... although he is mostly content playing in his crib i go and get him between 6:30 and 7. Only when he starts using the sides of his crib to practice his trampolining skills do i rush in there a little early. He hasnt tried to climb out yet (knock on wood) but its only a matter of time and i want him to stay in that crib AS LONG AS POSSIBLE!
Words: At our well visit yesterday everything the Dr. asked about his speech we were able to say yes to! I dont think he has a huge vocabulary,

But he knows peoples names (Momma, Daddy, Charchie(charlie), Bai-ey (bailey), he calls Kona "tas", he calls my dad Pop Pop (actually all grandparents are Pop Pop), Ryan, and if we say someones name he will repeat it. He said Nico and Mike last week.
sounds things make, he also calls these things by the sound: Cars are "Vrooms", Monkeys are "Ahh Ahhs", Dogs are "Woof woofs", but when asked he knows a cow says moo, etc etc
Characters: He knows who Curious George is (Ahh Ahh), Henley (the monkeys dachsund), Mickey, Daisy, Donald,
He will ask for milk or juice, and we have started trying to get him to say please after.. so he will go "milk pees". "More pees"
He says Thank You, Bless You, Come on Daddy, Oh No, All Done, Wheres Momma, Tas, etc, What Dat, How About,
New Words as of late: Octopus, Shadow, Applesauce,

He knows his colors and shapes. he can say orange and purple, pink and brown, but when you ask him to point to a color he gets it right, or if we ask what color it is and its a word he can say he will tell us (Our Dr was surprised about this and he said that that is advanced?)
