Noah turned 21 months on Feb 24th. I wanted to do a quick update:
- We had a couple visits to the Dr. this month with a rash and pink eye! Luckily nothing to bad and it was the easiest sickness cause even though he had it he was in great spirits and ran around like nothing was wrong! The whole family has been battling colds though all month, so our house has been in a giant state of tissues use, medicine and Lysol :-)
- While at the Dr he was weighed and he is about 27 lbs. (they didn't do height though)
- He moved up to 24 month one piece pajamas, but most of his 18 month clothes still fit. The 24 month shirts and pants are still to big.
- We had our first snow day of the year, we bundled him up and brought him outside. He didn't hate it but he didn't move around much either
- Jenkinsons Aquarium reopened after the damage from Hurricane Sandy so we went with the Taynors up there one Sunday. Noah is at the age where he doesn't want to be held but he also runs around like a mad man and doesn't really listen. So it was a little frustrating for us parents.
- Bedtime is still around 7-730 but he has been waking up earlier. (615/630) although he mostly plays in his crib happily until i get him around 7. Naps are still from around 11:45-1:30/2pm
- His new favorite game is looking at some of his word books with pictures. I will point to something and say "is this an apple?" (It wont be) and he will go "Nooooo". I repeat this on a couple different pictures until i point to the apple and say "Is this an apple" and he will go "yeah yeah yeah apple apple!) He can say Apple, Ana (banana), Cheese, Bowl, Spoon, ball... and even if he cant say the word (like broccoli) he will still say "yeah yeah yeah" once i point to the right picture. I have also found him playing this game by himself. He will be sitting in his chair with the book and i will here "mumble mumble apple? nooooo, mumble mumble apple? noooo) Like he is asking himself "is this an apple and then answering himself nooo"
- His favorite song now is Phil Phillips "Home". We sing it every night before he goes to bed and he will always sing "hoooommmee"
- Favorite toys are still play food, letter magnets and letter puzzle (we have a melissa and doug wooden alphabet puzzle and he can do the whole thing with little to no help, and when i do help it would just be "G like grapes" and he will find the picture of the grapes and place the G there)
- Favorite TV is still curious george, elmo and now Sophia the first.
