23 months!

Today Noah is 23 months old! Crazy that next month he will be 2!!! As usual here is just a run down of some things that happened this month

- We started swim lessons again, this time they are on Saturdays so Brian and i both get to go in with him. Our good friends the Palumbo's and Mullers are also in the class so Noah gets to swim with Charlie and Nico!
-The Mullers welcomed baby Julia on 4/3 so now we have a new addition to the group. She came to her first Sunday Funday this month
- The weather has been teasing us. Some days are nice and 60/70 and others are cold 40/50! We are ready for warm spring weather!
- Noah loves wearing his hat everywhere. He puts it on backwards or to the side but i just go with it cause he is so proud of himself
-We can say some two word sentences/commands;

  •  "daddy hop"
  •  "thank you"- he says it ALL the time, whenever we give him something or refill his juice.
  • Last night when my dad was leaving he said "Bye, see you soon".
  • He seems to repeat things more but doesnt always use them in sentences. Like if we say a word he will repeat it, but its not like he is saying it in context or on his own.
-We are in size 5 diapers and we will be in those for awhile!
- Sleep is still 7/730 - 630/7 each night with about a 2 hour nap in the middle of the day.
-He really likes to imitate or help out. We were doing some yard work and when we would rake up pine needles he would put them all in the garbage for us. Or yesterday my dad and brian were building a little table for him and he LOVED helping, pretending to put the screws in place etc.
-Still a big curious george fan, sesame, disney.
-We have gotten a lot  better at coloring this month.

Spring Break

Brians spring break was from March 23-March 31st, we didnt want to go on any sort of vacation yet since we thought Noah was still a little young and the way the weather has been lately if school had any snow days or weather days the district would have taken away some of his spring break days so we were nervous to plan anything. We figured we would do some day trips and some play dates to make it a special week.  Here is what we did:

Saturday- Brian, my dad and i took Noah to Storybrook Land. It was opening day and it was surprisingly not crowded at all! We had the whole run of the place! Everything was going great until Noah decided to take a faceplant on the asphalt. It was our first real injury and it was BAD. Blood everywhere, huge swollen lip. He cried initially but after a few minutes he let us hold ice onto it and let apply pressure to stop the bleeding.

Sunday:  We hosted a play date for 6 kids ages 2 and under. We decorated Easter eggs (foam eggs, real eggs, plastic eggs, with stickers or crayons). All the kids seemed to have a great time!

Monday: We took this as a recovery day!

Tuesday: We went to a play date over at Jackies house

Wednesday- We went with the Mullers out to Philly to the Please Touch Museum. It was our first time there and although crowded (to be expected) we really liked it.  Noah LOVED it but was a little cranky at times since we pushed nap time in hopes he would sleep in the car on the ride home (he did). His favorite part was the pretend grocery store. It will be great when he is a little older where he might not need a nap in the middle of the day, and when he can listen a little better

Thursday: We did another recovery day. He was SUPER cranky

Friday- We took Noah to the park

Saturday- I dont have any pictures but we took him to the Popcorn Park Zoo. It was really nice out and he liked looking at all the animals.  He especially liked the "Ahh Ahh's: (he calls monkeys Ahh Ahhs, i think because we always do sounds and the monkeys go "Ohh Ohh Ahh Ahh)

Sunday- EASTER! We spend the morning at home. We did a little egg hunt in the living room. Each egg had a yogurt melt in them, He loved shaking the egg to find the prize and one big egg had a chocolate munchkin. After nap we went over to the Stines house for dinner and they did another egg hunt in the front yard
Easter basket: a couple easter books, lego duplo toddler blocks, a buzz and woody little people car( He knows their names and will walk  around going "wheres woody, wheres beez", bunny sippy cup, curious george movie, two sesame street figures he didnt have and some toy balls

22 months!

Noah turned 22 months on March 24!

  • Not sure of his height or weight. Still probably around 27/28 lbs.
  • All 24 month pajamas and we can now wear some 24 month stuff but all of our 18 month stuff still fits too
  • We stopped buying size 4 diapers and now slowly using up what we have and moving on to size 5
  • We celebrated Ryans 2nd birthday and Nicos 1st birthday this month
  • Celebrated St. Patricks Day with the Mullers
  • Talking: He has a bunch of new words and can put two words together: whats that, wheres daddy, wheres momma, thank you,
  • His new thing is saying "come on" and taunting brian with a "come here" hand signal when he wants to play and be chased around the room
  • Favorite Toys: Sesame Street figures. Still plays with food, magnets, train table and little people every day.
  • New Song he likes: Darius Ruckers "Wagon Wheel".... he likes to do the "Heeeeeeeey" part.
  • New Foods: Brian has been making smoothies lately and noah loves them. We cram in all kinds of fruit and veggies (kale, spinach, chia seeds, flax sead, carrots, etc).
  • Favorite Foods: fruit, breakfast foods, cheese, chicken nuggets, peanut butter and jelly. We also introduced fruit snacks (just the gerber ones so far cause they can be easily chewed) and he loves them!
