7 months!

inset your typical "wow that went fast" phrase here - But it really did! It was just yesterday we were celebrating thanksgiving and Noah turned 6 months, and then all of a sudden he turned 7 months on Christmas Eve!
Here are some 7 month shots:  I will be back to do a christmas recap ;-)

This month he started eating vegetables (sweet potatoes, green beans, squash).
He also eats 3 meals a day now
He had his first fever and cold
He weights about 18-19lbs
He sleeps from 630pm to 6-630am on most nights

Busy little elfs

I think I can say we are officially ready for Christmas over here! We are going to Costco later today to get some things for Sunday. We are hosting our first Christmas at our house.
It hasn't been all running around the last couple days, we did get to visit some old friends...

And then yesterday it was so nice out we enjoyed a walk on he river

Tomorrow is Christmas eve and Noah turns 7 months! I am sure I will be posting lots of pictures and stories from his first holiday!

Playing with Friends!

One of the things i am excited about is that Noah already has a solid group of friends that he will grow up with the rest of his life!  We have had a couple get togethers with Charlie, Ryan and Eloise!

Charlie is 8 Days Older
Ryan is 3 months Older
Eloise is 6 months Older
In a couple years/months the age difference won't even matter at all!  We are all really excited for all the fun these guys are going to have!

North Pole Breakfast!

If you are familiar with Elf on the Shelf you know that Santa sends down your very own elf that you have to name and who will be with you year after year. He comes after Thanksgiving to keep an eye on you and at night he reports back to Santa, when the child wakes up in the morning he has to see where the elf landed when he came back from the north pole, or what kind of mischief he was up to while he was sleeping!

Well since this is Noahs first christmas, Santa sent down our elf Jingles and brought a "north pole breakfast" for us and some surprises for Noah!  He even brought Mom and Dad some peppermint mocha coffee and new coffee mugs! The dogs got some new toys (kona already destroyed hers). Noah got some comfy christmas socks and some books about Rudolph!

This is the last time you are allowed to touch the elf!

We then read the book and he seemed to really enjoy it!

This will become a christmas tradition after thanksgiving that our Elf will appear, bring a special breakfast to mark the holiday season and to make sure Noah knows that he is now being watched by Santa!

6 Months and Turkey Day

Noah turned 6 months on Thanksgiving day!
  • He is now about 17lbs and a half pounds (that was about a week ago)
  •  He sleeps from about 630- to 6 on most nights.
  • He is eating fruits! We have had Apples, Pears, Bananas, Peaches and Prunes.
  • He consistently takes 2 naps a day in his crib!
  • His favorite toys right now are his squishy blocks and some stuffed animals
Here is how we spent our thanksgiving!

Our first Halloween!

Today is Noah's first "real" holiday in my book. Sure we have had memorial day, labor day, columbus day, and  I guess 4th of July counts as something but its not as big as Halloween!

Yesterday we dressed up our little monkey and went trick or treating! All of the "grandchildren of the Stratford" went around my parents neighborhood.  And then we got to hand out candy at our house.

And then Today being Halloween itself we did a little photo shoot too!

Silly mommy makes me wear this pumpkin hat!

And Noah's "treat" today was that he tried bananas for the first time! He ate them like a champ,..... guess he is a little monkey :-)
