Baptism

i know, i know... we waiting a long time for Noah's Baptism.  The time slipped away from us, all of a sudden it was Christmas, then Brian's parents were in florida for a couple months, the church does not do it during March because of lent... so April it was!

He was Baptized on Sunday at St. Justins in Toms River.  The only complaint we have is that it was really gloomy rainy weather, so all the preparations we did at my parents back yard to host the after party did not go to good use.

Highlights:

• I think we definitely had the most people come to watch at the church. I counted 9 rows of family and friends.  
• We replaced the buttons on his outfit so he was wearing a piece of the outfit that all of the other people in brians family also wore (including brian!)
• When we were standing up at the alter looking out at everyone Noah decided he wanted to wave... so all of a sudden 9 rows of people started smiling, waving back and making goofy faces.... the other parents must have thought we were nuts!
• He was great the whole time until it was time to get wet... then he cried.
• Once back at the house he took a hour and a half nap! Even with all the commotion going on downstairs!

Easter

Noah had his first easter yesterday! We spent the morning doing our normal routine.  While he took his morning nap i made breakfast for brian and i (cinnabuns, scrambled eggs and turkey bacon). Then after his nap he saw that the Easter Bunny came and got his basket! He was really interested in it and took everything out one by one.  We spent the rest of the morning playing with his new toys, having lunch and then on to his afternoon nap!  Then we went over to Brian's parents house for Easter festivities!  He received some more easter goodies and got to play with his cousins and even tried some chicken parm!  We stayed out way past his bedtime (he didn't go to sleep until almost 7:30!) but it was a really nice day !

Miscellaneous Monday's

So here are some random thoughts and happenings....

1) I am loving this print I found, I think I am going to get it framed for Noah's room or the basement!

2) now that it is close to spring time we are looking to do some outside yard work. Weeding, mulching, planting fliers etc. here is Noah also dreaming about playing in a nice backyard!

3) Noah has been making lots of new noises and lots of silly faces.... Here is our new favorite

4) he is also playing a lot more and laughing and having a great time! It is fun seeing him react to a new toy or obstacle put in front of him

5) spring break is next week and Brian will be home with us, we are looking forward to doing some family outings like the aquarium or zoo!

6) we have also started the beginning stages of Noah's first birthday party! Crazy!

7) our goal is to have our basement playroom - family room usable by his bay party! I am having fun thinking about the lay out and decorations and organization down there!
