4 months!

We turned 4 months on Saturday the 24th!
At our last dr appt we were 15lbs 6 ounce and 26 1/4 inches long!

We had a couple firsts this past month. We did our first vacation and road trip down to North Carolina

We have rolled over from our tummy to our back a couple times. Although i think its him actually just leaning and falling vs. actually trying to roll over.  But i think that still counts :-)

We started rice cereal - although i think we are still a little young. We arent going to hurry into any other new foods right now. He still pushes it out with his tongue so we do it in the morning to practice and get a little something extra in his tummy. But i am in no rush to hurry up with the other foods. The recomendation is that you can start solid foods between 4-6 months, although a lot of things suggest waiting till 6 months. Our Dr said it was fine to start now but i think he is still a little on the young side. So maybe by next month we will be starting fruits and veggies. But for right now he will just get some rice cereal and maybe some oatmeal :-)

We have also started trying for organized nap time in the crib in the morning. But he still fights me on this.

Here are some other things we are doing this month!

Tummy Time and Sitting in the Bumbo!

We love this book!

Yay 4 months!

Our first Trip!

Last week we piled in my dads motor home and headed off for our first road trip!  It was quite a sight to see: 3 month old, 2 dogs, me, brian and my dad traveling down to North Carolina to visit Aunt Vicki and Uncle Fred. We have been wanting to visit down there for awhile and when we found out there was a triathlon that brian could do right by their house we thought it was the perfect opportunity!
The trip went great, although it is A LOT of work to make Noah and the 2 dogs happy while on vacation at someone else's house.  But Noah got to do a lot of "firsts".  We ventured out a lot and he was pretty well behaved.  Dinners, sight seeing, shopping... the boy was a trooper thru it all!
We are also excited because next summer we are renting a house down in Outer Banks with a bunch of families that have kids around Noahs age, so we got to get a good sense of what is down there and where to go!
Here are some highlights from the trip!

Ready to go!
